Proper Maintenance for Ceramic Coated Vehicles
You just got your Ceramic Pro Gold Package, now what? Your ceramic coating should continuously make your car look brand new, but like anything you have to maintain it correctly. In order to maximize the effects of your ceramic coating, maintenance washes and correct drying habits are necessary.
The first few weeks after ceramic coating installation are crucial in order to maintaining the life of the ceramic coating. The coating needs a full 3 weeks to completely cure, which means that until those three weeks are up the coating is still soft. This means that the ceramic coating could be damaged if not properly cared for. During this time make sure to remove any water spots, bird droppings, tree sap or anything else that might end up on your car. It is also important to remember not to wash your car until it is fully cured.
Next, the ceramic coating maintenance wash is probably the most important thing you can do to help maintain your vehicle. However, it is important to follow the care instructions otherwise what you think could be improving the coat on the car could actually be damaging it. When finally deciding to wash your vehcile after those 3 weeks make sure to either hand wash or choose a touchless wash option on your car and only use microfiber towels.
One of the most important parts of the ceramic coating maintenance is to make sure that you never use wax. You don’t need it! Wax or polish at this point can actually do much more harm than good. It wont bond to the coating and is therefore completely unnecessary. If your ceramic coating needs a little update then use Ceramic Pro Sport to help maintain the ceramic coating.
Ceramic coating is meant to protect as long as it is maintained correctly. As long as you follow the maintenance guidelines your car should be looking like new. Don’t forget to take your car in once a year for its annual inspection to ensure maximum gloss for the longest amount of time.
